addition to May Blog

I have been home almost a week.  I was away for a month.  Del Rio enjoyed more than normal rain fall during that time and my yard grew abundantly.

My car was in the shop in Columbus, Georgia for a few days, while they did not completely resolve the problem they did reprogram the computer and repair it enough to get me home.   I am grateful to Ted and Mary Sanders for taking good care of me during that time.  I also was blessed to be able to minister at Restoration Ministries and get to meet new Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

For some time, I have been ministering in three of the four segregation pods at the Val Verde Detention Facility on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Next week I will begin ministry in the fourth pod on Mondays     I ask for your prayers as three days will make my schedule very full.  The combined population can reach almost two hundred men.

While I was away the Mexican government opened up to ministry a migrant camp just across the border to minister to children from El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Honduras.   I have been able to give Bibles to a church I work with, Comunidad Cristiana Mana.  They have access to these children and are having great results.  “BUT GOD”   Lord willing I plan to get over there myself.

My profound and grateful thanks to all the great people who continually hold me and the work up with prayer and generous support.

Blessings

The multiple and varied events of the annual Liberty Missions Conference were all concluded yesterday May, 1.   These Mission Conferences require an enormous coordinated effort on the part of all the church members and staff of the participating churches.  Thank you for a difficult task well done.

This is the first time in several years I have been able to attend.  I was greatly encouraged and inspired by the reports of what God is doing through the Holy Spirit directed efforts of Globe missionaries throughout the world.  I am privileged to be able to have a small part in it.

A great blessing was the Missionary Retreat at Camp Baldwin just over the Florida, Alabama state line from Pensacola.  It was time of refreshing, opportunities to chat with old friends, make some new ones and listen to inspiring messages.  Grateful thanks to all at Globe International for the great work they did to make the retreat a success and all the extras they do while the missionaries are here.

Special thanks to the great Churches that have blessed me with their generosity, fantastic hospitality and the privilege to share.

There will be one or two more places to go before heading west to Texas.

Many have asked me about future plans since my wife has gone to heaven.  I cherish every moment of the 56 plus years we were together, my love for my sweet wife, Madeline, has not diminished.  I now rejoice that the callings of God do not have an expiration date (Romans 11:29) and I have the incredible privilege to continue the work that Madeline and I were called to do together.  So in a nutshell the plan is RE-FIRE, not retire.

May God bless you abundantly with His manifold blessings.  Your partnership in this ministry is greatly appreciated.
